Omerta, was a mid 1990s crime series that was popular in Quebec. It spawned
2 sequel series and a movie. It tells the story of the members of the fictional
Sureté Nationale's Organised Crime Unit as they try to take down Montreal's
mafia godfather, Giusepe Scarfo.

The flag of the Sureté Nationale, a stand-in for
the Sureté du Québec in all but name,
can be seen in various scene. Unlike its real world counterpart, it is divided
horizontaly brown-yellowish beige-brown and the central emblem is much simpler
in design; the whole being closer to the livery used by SQ cars of that era.
